Live beyond Life

We all may have heard on so many occasions that the real purpose of life is served only when you live for others. The renowned genius of the world Albert Einstien once said that "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile". The message is clear, loud and steady that always be willing to stand for others like you expect the world to stand for you when you are having trouble. Helping others will always help you to live a peaceful and satisfactory life. The question that arises here is that what could be the possible passage to help others out. What could be an act of kindness and generosity that lives beyond your life as well?

Have you ever imagined there is one way every single person in this entire universe can help; It doesn't matter how helpless is he. One must be forced to think that how a feeble can be of use to anyone! Now take some time out and think, of what use are our organs to us once we are out of breathing? For the very obvious reasons, the answer is that they are of no use. Have we ever thought that donating our body organs afterward can help us to live beyond life? Burying the useful organs along with the deceased is of no use and benefit. Yes, there is an emotional dilemma attached to this asking. It is how one can allow scorching the body organs of the beloved after being deceased. This may sound inhumane to some but what is being done for others with these organs is way bigger keeping the lines of humanity in view.

Let's pose an example to bring more clarity to the issue being raised, imagine, that a father is on his death bed following the failure of his kidney and there is no availability of the donor. Doctors have asked to arrange for a donor or lose hope of survival. The same day, the son of the abovementioned man, unfortunately, had an accident and died. Being brought to the same hospital his father was losing his hope of life in. The doctors after the final examination of the deceased called the whole family in and asked, the life of the man can be saved if you allow us to donate your son's kidney to his father. What answer you think the whole family may have given? Well for the obvious reasons and with a heavy heart, they must have allowed the doctors to take out the kidney and save the life of the one who still has a hope to live. Just because the one who was about to die was their own family member, they allowed the kidney to be donated. What if the same family was asked for someone else's father? They obviously would have denied. So, here is the message that is being upraised that to live for others is the life worth living.

In Pakistan, more than two hundred thousand people die every year because of organ failure and a country having a population of more than 220 million, only fifteen thousand people have registered to donate their organs yet. There is a huge need for awareness in this regard. We all have a role to play, to think and decide. The example quoted above has a loud message that under a given situation, for our loved ones, we can decide to donate but when it comes to donating our organs for others, we fumble and iterate.

"Live for yourself, you will live in vain
Live for the others and you will live again"
